Meet Katie
Growing up, I always had a creative eye and a passion for the artistic and performing arts industries. After finishing my HSC at a performing arts school, I went on to complete a Certificate I and II in Retail Makeup and Skin Care and then graduated from the Australian College of Makeup and Special Effects with a Diploma in Screen and Media specialising in Makeup Services.
My professional makeup career developed whilst working for Yves Saint Laurent. It was there that I gained the necessary exposure and experience for applying makeup to all different skin types, tones, faces and eye shapes. I learnt how to adapt and customise a look to individual’s unique styles and preferences.
My passion and love for makeup led to the creation of my YouTube channel and Instagram page, where I uploaded makeup tutorials and product reviews with the aim of sharing my knowledge, skills and techniques to educate others. My detailed and innovative artistry combined with my love of colour and vivacious personality, contributed to my success of 250k followers between both social media platforms and over 7.7 million YouTube views. My work has been recognised globally by some of the industries biggest names and my looks have caught the attention of world-renowned brands, some of whom I have had the pleasure and opportunity to collaborate with and represent through exclusive launches and events. These have included a personalised 5-piece eye brush set with Sigma Beauty and being the face of Benefit Cosmetics Australia’s best-selling blush shade, which was displayed in Sephora stores nationwide and online.
Two makeup products I cannot live without are a mascara and brow pencil.
I enjoy buying cute home decor.
A new skill I have recently learnt is cooking (well still working on it).
A makeup product I always have in my purse is a lipgloss.
My favourite colour is pink.
I am currently obsessed with Harry Styles.
I have recently purchased an iPhone with more storage. Game changer!
My guilty pleasure is cold chocolate, straight from the fridge.
The most spontaneous thing I have done is skydive.
Growing up I was a competitive artistic gymnast.
I am a night owl.
My go-to cuisine is Italian.
Not many people know that I played the alto saxophone (not very well).
My favourite place that I have travelled to is Switzerland.
I have no tattoos.
A staple clothing item in my wardrobe is a black, long sleeve body suit.
As a child I collected snow globes.
